After the Surge, Overstrand.

The recent tidal surge has exposed luscious fresh clay along the cliff bottom and the fresh water running through it creates capturing effects.  I was painting for almost three hours and by the end of it my fingers were almost numb.

Through Northrepps

Inspired by frost and fog I went to paint out at Felbrigg Hall Woods.  The fog held out but no frost, and as the trees were dripping wet I took photos which I may use for studio pieces (a few shown below).  On the way home I was admiring a stretch of road which always captures me so I parked up and painted there instead.

Into Warren Woods, Cromer

First time painting out in months and loved it! Whilst walking along the Coast Path I was captured by the sun-light shining through the trees onto the grass bedore me; as well as the bright orange berries and yellow branches against the smouldering backdrop.  I used my new field easel for the first time today which enables me to paint on bigger boards.  It weighs a ton but it's worth carrying.
