I finished this double portrait of my children today, which I copied from an old photo. I found it quite difficult to get the subtle colour changes of their front lit faces right. For the previous portrait I painted of my son, I set the pose of the photo with a painting in mind and created contrast in tone caused by the shadows. Also this painting is tighter than the last so I think it's time to get into painting from life.
